This year has seen Philip Kassanis help Park Green look at several opportunites to acquire larger properties with the view to repurposing them as apartment accomodation or in one case the other way around: apartments to semi-detatched family accommodation. All have been interesting buildings in conservation areas. This is alongside other work for Park Green: feasibilties and design coordination.
The challenges inherent in this type of project are to provide modern standards of access and parking; design flat layouts that feel natural while complying with fire and building regulations; improving the amenity of the external spaces all while maintaining sensitivety to the character of the conservation area.
