It only seems a short while ago that I posted about One year on. There is a lot to include in this update in 3 areas: the research programme, OurPlanning, and Kassanis+Thomas…
- The research programme begins in October at Kingston University. I look forward to working with Yamuna Kaluarachchi and Charlotte Harris.
- OurPlanning has reached an intensive period of work prior launching a pilot. I am very grateful to my business development advisers Katharine Ford (GK Partners) and Peter Landau (The London Business Support Service) who are putting me through my paces to translate concept into reality. I have done a lot of work recently with Katharine on an ethical business plan. I have also been working with Paul Jerricho to help prepare for liaising at the highest level with leading figures in the public and private sectors, academia and commentators. Watch this space for the final shape of the endeavour but the history of its development can be traced through previous blogs, and an updated summary of the background can be found here.
- Kassanis+Thomas has made a strong start, illustrated by the following projects. It has completed an feasibility for a leisure based mixed use scheme in Vladivostok and looks forward to progressing the project to planninhttps://kassanisthomas.com/?p=361g and tender stage later this year. It is half way through the climate change adaptation project for the Technology Strategy Board. It is collaborating with Stanway RPA on initiating a new generation of transport hubs centred on stations. Considered™ are invloved as well on both this and Vladivostok. It is helping Bradley Design Associates with the architectural side of a 90 unit housing development.
